HealthStream Announces New Resuscitation Pioneer Award AOE Award


To support our long-term commitment to the improvement of resuscitation programs in our nation’s healthcare organizations, HealthStream is launching an Awards Program to recognize innovation in the following areas:

  • Improved resuscitation outcomes
  • Better resuscitation program efficiency or cost management
  • Enhanced program affordability or overall improvement in program return on investment (ROI)

Pioneer Award winners will:

  • Describe an opportunity for improvement that existed in their organization’s resuscitation program.
  • Identify the innovation their organization made in the resuscitation program in response.
  • Document the outcome that resulted from the innovation (such as improved survival rates, reduced time spent in staff training, lower program cost per enrollee, etc.).

Submissions will be reviewed by an advisory panel of industry experts.  Submissions must include the use of at least one HealthStream, HCCS, or Echo solution.

These awards recognize our customers who executed initiatives that have led to improved outcomes, including, but not limited to, process improvements (e.g. time savings, cost savings, streamlined onboarding, performance appraisal innovations, etc.) or quality improvements.

Award winners in each category will:

  • Describe a challenge or obstacle facing their organization.
  • Identify the HealthStream solution(s) they used to help them in their efforts.
  • Document the outcome that resulted.

    Initiatives to support patient-centered care and/or the improvement of CAHPS scores.

The Patricia E. Lane AwardAOE Logo-PATRICIA2017


HealthStream created the Patricia E. Lane Award in 2009, in honor of Patricia E. Lane. Patricia was a HealthStream System Administrator, leader of the Virginia HealthStream User Group (HUG) since its inception, and a 29-year employee of Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia, who lost her life in a tragic car accident in December 2009. She touched the lives of her co-workers and many healthcare organizations from across the state of Virginia who benefited from her expertise, sage advice, and leadership.

If you know of someone within your organization or within the healthcare community that has impacted the lives of many and is passionately dedicated to healthcare education and innovation, we invite you to nominate them for the Patricia E. Lane Award.
