Looking for a policy system to replace their paper manuals, Kathryn Bainbridge, the regional director at Juniper Communities, wanted something that was “super user friendly,” allowing for easy editing and searching. This was especially important for audits, when it was imperative to have quick, easy access to specific policies.

Selecting HealthStream’s Policy Manager was an easy choice, since it checked all the boxes and was well liked by staff. The first goal was the monumental task of uploading 2000+ existing policies into the system. When this was complete, goals were further broken down into phases for updates. The easy editing features and task reminders have also been critical to ensuring everyone stays on their timelines.

The ability to search has been a game changer for the team. Kathryn rarely gets emergency calls to find a policy quickly. She estimates she has been able to go from spending 40-50 hours a year supporting audit requests from each of the facilities to 8 hours. Training new leadership team members is also easier thanks to the intuitive features and straightforward dashboard with Policy Manager. The time and cost savings in switching from paper manuals to a shared online tool have been invaluable.
