About the Customer

Enterprise Health and Rehabilitation Center is a 257-bed premier skilled nursing and rehabilitation center with special memory care and acute care units.

Challenge

Enterprise Health was acutely aware of its opportunities related to its lack of formal family/resident interview processes. In addition to this there was a need for a structured Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program to ensure regulatory compliance. The administrator knew they needed a solution that would simplify manual processes, address family care concerns, and reduce the burden on facility administration.

Solution

Implementation of Quality Manager provided Enterprise Health with the opportunity to see the "big picture" – it eliminated tedious manual searches through binders full of regulations and ensured employees are able to focus on details to make the quality assurance process complete. Everyone on staff now works with a purpose or goal in mind to ensure regulatory compliance, resident satisfaction, and overall success.

Results

In addition to ease of use and streamlining the compliance process, staff who use Quality Manager describe it as essential to answering the question: "Have I done everything I can to help this person?" Families have also been appreciative of the opportunity to provide meaningful feedback or voice their concerns. As a result, the facility cut inspection F-tags by 50% after the first year, has had no citations for the past two years, and has achieved HealthStream's Advanced QAPI Distinction.
