OAS-CAHPS

Since January 2016, hospital-based outpatient surgical departments and ambulatory surgery centers may elect to conduct the Outpatient and Ambulatory Surgery CAHPS Survey or OAS-CAHPS. Similar to the national implementation of HCAHPS, this survey has started as a voluntary reporting program in which facilities can choose to conduct the survey and report results to CMS.
